Break Your Neck With Slander at The Headbangers Ball
Slander’s performance at the Headbangers Ball was an experience. Their newest tour has taken us by storm and they finally stopped in New York last weekend. It was one of the filthiest sets I ever encountered.
Event Review: The Headbangers Ball

A few days ago, Slander brought their Headbangers Ball to the Avant Gardner in Brooklyn, NY, and to be honest, my neck is still sore. It was an intense show and every single artist on the lineup was filthy. The incredibly stacked lineup consisted of Wavedash, Wooli, Spag Heddy and of course Slander. They did not disappoint and brought the heat. I got there early to secure a spot on the rail and stocked up on water for what I knew would be a night of nasty bass drops, incredible visuals, and headbanging.
Bring The Filth #Headbangers Ball: Wavedash, Wooli, & Spag Heddy
From the moment Wavedash took the stage I knew we were all in for a treat. Less than 5 minutes into their set the rail was violently shaking from all of us going nuts and the rail did not stop moving for the rest of the night! Lesson learned was to not put your water bottles on the other side of the rail unless you want them to fall over. Thankfully a kind security guard picked them up for me and my crew and we continued to rage. When the New York native Wooli took the stage the hype of the crowd was intense and so was his set! He dropped “Island” his new collab with Seven Lions and Trivecta and it was so magical to hear it live.
Next up came Spag Heddy with a killer Eminem “Lose Yourself” intro which had just about everyone in the room including myself ready to rage. The mosh pits to his set were nuts and everyone was having the time of their lives. Not a single person in the room was standing still and there were smiles on everyone’s faces. As the night went on and Spag Heddy’s set ended we awaited Slander to take the stage.
Slander Brings The Heat

When Slander finally came out everyone was screaming! They played such a heavy and diverse set from all their new songs to some of the oldies. Their visuals were beautiful and awe-inspiring. Of course, they also played all their feels songs like “First Time” their new collab with Seven Lions and Dabin and everyone cried their eyes out. Slander’s stop in New York was an unforgettable experience and the vibes were incredible. They always put on a fantastic performance. They put together a killer show lineup that will be remembered forever in the history of New York dubstep!
